Digital Operations Coordinator for DMO
Supports the Digital Operations team through reporting, website updates, content support, and digital communications. Assists with tools such as SnapSea and analytics platforms to ensure accuracy, creativity, and consistency across Visit Alabama’s Beaches’ digital channels. Reviews social media content weekly to ensure alignment with current campaigns and brand messaging.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. A college degree, certification, or equivalent experience in communications, marketing, or a related field.
2. At least 2 years of experience in digital content coordination, web or email marketing, or analytics.
3. Familiarity with Drupal, WordPress, GA4, CRM databases, and email marketing platforms preferred.
4. Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
5. Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
6. Highly organized, collaborative, and comfortable managing multiple deadlines.

30%: Website Support and Reporting
• Assist with monthly analytics and performance reporting.
• Support weekly website checks for accuracy and functionality.
• Edit and update web content as needed, including the Beach Safety page (weekdays).
• Create and maintain landing pages in coordination with the Digital Operations Manager and Specialist to support marketing campaigns and key initiatives
• Assist with monthly website tasks and visual updates.
• Collaborate with the Digital Operations Manager and Specialist on digital performance insights.
• Manage CrazyEgg setup and reporting to support ongoing optimization efforts.
20%: SEO Assistance and Projects
• Support SEO initiatives, including metadata management, site audits, and content optimization.
• Collaborate on keyword research, backlink monitoring, and SEO project implementation.
• Coordinate with internal and external teams to ensure best practices are followed.
20%: Email and Newsletter Support
• Collaborate with the Digital Operations Manager, Digital Marketing Specialist, and Content Specialist on the creation and distribution of newsletters.
• Edit and update newsletter content for accuracy, links, and images.
• Assist in maintaining email lists and campaign segmentation.
10%: UGC (SnapSea) and Social Media Review
• Maintain and update SnapSea maps and story collections.
• Compile and distribute monthly SnapSea reports.
• Review social media content weekly for consistency with campaigns and branding.
• Support creative storytelling and user-generated content integration.
10%: e-Commerce Assistance
• Support the Digital Operations Manager and Specialist with the online retail shop, including updates, promotions, and reporting.
• Assist with product uploads, descriptions, and visuals.
10%: Additional Tasks
• Provide assistance on special digital projects and general marketing support as assigned.
• Participate in team meetings and assist with cross-department reporting efforts.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Ability to manipulate data, perform operational tasks and operate office equipment.
2. Ability to lift 35 pounds.
3. Have dependable transportation and a current driver’s license.
4. Possess the combination of communication skills, perception, and political astuteness to interact with Industry Partners, marketing partners, client departments and agency vendors in accomplishing assigned tasks.
5. Flexibility to carry out responsibilities on evenings, weekends, and to travel as needed.
